Join Shantae in Her Tropical Adventure

The belly-dancing, hair-whipping, half-genie hero is back in her fifth adventure. Shantae and the Seven Sirens will put the magical heroine in an all-new, vast tropical world. In this game by WayForward, Shantae gained a new Fusion Magic, and she is set to explore the vast sunken city with her friends. She meets up with other half-genie allies, however, they soon learn that there is trouble in their newfound paradise. Shantae got caught up in the island’s sinister secrets, and she needs to use her new powers and dance abilities to traverse the city, overcome treacherous labyrinths, and battle dastardly bosses.

Play with Collectible Cards

Gameplay-wise, Shantae and the Seven Sirens seem to get inspiration from Metroidvania-style platforming games, as was the other Shantae games' norm. However, the game will introduce a new feature called the monster card collection mechanic. By killing any enemy in the game, you can get their namesake in the form of a card. You can then use the card to augment Shantae’s power. This feature is generous enough, so it does not feel grindy, and addictive enough to add a good amount of replay value to the game.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens relies heavily on the motif of the previous Shantae games. In fact, the whole aesthetics is borrowed from the previous game. Some of the known characters in the franchise will also be back, including Rottytops, Sky, and Bolo. Even the nefarious pirate Risky Boots will make a constant appearance as a Proto-Man-esque mini-boss. Some of the game’s very light puzzles will also remind you of some of WayForward’s previous catalogs, like Switch Force.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is a very fun game if you are a fan of the franchise’s previous titles. It has gorgeous animated TV-style graphics and wonderfully voiced sequences. However, it has a relatively short gameplay that you can finish in roughly three hours.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
